Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized by her highly commendable performances in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work which includes an Oscar. The successful actress began her acting career on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. The actress is a lover of acting since she started school. Her debut role in a show in the fifth grade was as Helen Keller. She was born deaf in the one ear after suffering from mumps but did not let this disability dampen her desire to be an actress. In her teens She studied acting and eventually moved in New York City. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. As she relocated into Los Angeles, Hunter tried to land films to play. The role of a supporting actress was securing for Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films, TV series and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
